TAY returns with “Hey Girl”

available today on all platforms

After having released a series of successful singles on radio and digital platforms, Tay (as well as most artists) had to stop due to the pandemic that devastated the planet in March 2020.

Tay is back with an important message to share with all of us: there is a way out when you go through a period of depression. We explain in the lines below…

“I thought it was going to be very complicated to deal with this situation knowing that I didn’t have enough musical knowledge and experience to handle it. I was a little panicked”, says Tay. We also asked if the break-in routines (training, studio, and good food) as well as the physical isolation from everything and everyone were too complicated to manage? Tay’s answer is short and honest “… it was very difficult. In the beginning, I had to buy several materials to put in my room (microphone, sound card, and speakers) and I had to learn to record and mix everything myself when I saw tutorials on YouTube. I stopped dancing (I had little motivation) and most of the food was ordered”.

All this caused Tay to live through a period of depression. Something that he tells us openly when he tells us that “… I got to a point where I couldn’t stand being closed off and not doing what I really liked. Showing people my talent. That made me feel really bad. I believe that I didn’t choose to be an artist. I was born an artist, it was destined” and “I think we can all be more transparent about depression. Nowadays people talk more about it, about how we can take better care of ourselves and others. in favor of having professional support. In my case, I didn’t have it, but I found another way: I researched various artists from around the world, to find out about their careers, their ups and downs, and how they overcame them. For example, I saw a series of Justin Bieber videos on YouTube and Anitta on Netflix.”

Incidentally, there is a curious story between Tay and the Brazilian artist, Anitta tells us the same “I made a post on my Instagram with an excerpt from an episode of Anitta and identified her. After a few hours, she replied: thank you very much, you are very talented. With this recognition, I got it into my head that I wasn’t going to give up!”
