[dropcap type=”background”]L[/dropcap]aunched last year, half a century after its harvest, the exclusive Taylor’s Single Harvest 1968 continues to add distinctions throughout the world. This time, the highlight comes from Vivino, an application for smartphones and tablets aimed at wine lovers and consumers, who shared the preferences of its more than 35 million users in the usual TOP 30 of Best Wines of the Year.

Of the three Portuguese wines to be included in the list, the Taylor’s Single Harvest 1968 stands out, considered the best Portuguese wine worldwide, occupying the 5th position in the table. This selection was made only from the analysis of the ratings and opinions of the users of the application.

The Taylor’s Single Harvest 1968 is a limited edition of a rare Port wine that has aged in wooden shells that, patiently and with mastery, Taylor’s has preserved in its cellars for half a century. It has a delicate deep brown colour, surrounded by a broad amber border, and an opulent nose. The palate is round and concentrated, revealing a very well integrated acidity that provides a lively vivacity that persists at a very long end.

In response to high market demand, Heritage Wines, a premium and super premium wine distributor, will make available a very limited number of bottles from the exclusive Taylor’s Single Harvest 1968, which can be found in the country’s top wine cellars.
