After the success of “My Forever” with Heber Marques (HMB) and Amaura, Tayob J. continues to unveil his musical universe with “Alibi”, the latest single from his debut album, “The Beauty of Error”.
This time, it joins two unavoidable voices of Portuguese music: Soraia Tavares, one of the most versatile artists of her generation, and X-Tense, one of the most creative names in national hip-hop.
With a sophisticated and engaging production, “Alibi” reflects the unique signature of Tayob J., who has been shaping the new sound of the Portuguese music scene. The theme also has rich arrangements and a contemporary approach that unites R&B, hip-hop and soul, creating a captivating sound fusion.
“I see few people, like Soraia, bringing to the table this type of RnB/Soul full of vocal harmonies and mainly made with super good taste. I decided to talk to her and we arranged a studio session. She already brought the idea of Alibi as a central theme in the first session and that was a super interesting creative spark so we could finish producing and writing the theme together.
With the theme structure and lyrics completed, the X-Tense name was automatic in my head. There was not even a second option, it was the “pen” and the ideal voice for the theme. When I sent the theme to X, it took him about 3 hours to respond, and he responded automatically with a verse sketch to fit the instrument. It was confirmation that what I had imagined was right and could give a good song.

The experience and talent of Tayob J. as a producer are recognized in his career ahead of Noiz Studio, where he has worked with some of the most influential names of Portuguese music, such as Vitão, Iolanda, Matias Damásio, Pérola, Chullage, Wet Bed Gang, Dino d’Santiago, Virgul, and so many others.
The album A Beleza do Erro, edited later this year, will be the first author LP of the producer.
