After the launch of a research and development center last year, Team Viewer – a global leader in remote connectivity and workplace digitization solutions -, reinforces its presence in Portugal, moving to a new office in Porto.
Driven by innovation and increasing customer demands, the software industry is developing dynamically. An important success factor is the ability to develop new solutions and bring them to market quickly. In this sense, TeamViewer increased the number of employees working in the R&D area by 20% in 2021, compared to 2020. By establishing an additional R&D nucleus in Portugal, the company doubled the strategic advance of its engineering capabilities dedicated to software innovation.
Mike Eissele, Chief Technology Officer at Teamviewer, states that “the decision to choose Portugal as the location was based on a comprehensive selection framework that took into account key cultural and growth factors, including availability of top talent, educational infrastructure, regulation, entrepreneurial mindset and quality of life. So far, Porto has proven to be an excellent location for our R&D center with many good universities and a large pool of highly motivated top engineering talent to drive the next wave of digitization“.
