Teatro Aveirense receives “Cine-Koncerto” by Edgar Pêra

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 2, Teatro Aveirense receives a “cine-koncerto” by Edgar Pêra, in an interaction between images and sounds, the director will be on stage filming live, in close dialogue with the musician Vítor Rua, while VJammer and stereographer Claudio Vasques will manipulate these images and mix them with cine-diaries shot in Aveiro, by Pêra, over several years, as well as images from the city’s historical archives.

Edgar Pêra directs the cine-koncertos since 1990 and since then he has worked with several artists, creating a unique language, in line with his peculiar aesthetic universe. He is one of the most relevant national filmmakers, with activity that began in the 1980s, having since produced more than one hundred films for cinema, television, cine-concerts, and other means. Among his best-known titles are “A Cidade de Cassiano”, “Manual de Evasão LX 94”, “Movimentos Perpétuos”, “O Barão” and “Arquivos Kino-pop”, in a journey marked by an incessant rhythm of filming and recombination of the images.
