“Amado Monstro” with João Didelet and Marcantonio Del Carlo debuts from September 10th at Teatro da Trindade, Lisbon
The Teatro da Trindade begins to reopen its rooms and invite the public to return and, from 10 September to 25 October, presents the play “Amado Monstro” (“Beloved Monster“).
This play is an adaptation of the work “Amado Monstro“, by the renowned Spanish novelist Javier Tomeo. It portrays the experience of a man who, subdued by his mother, was only forty-seven years old when he applied for his first job as a night guard in a bank garage.
During the interview, led by the director of human resources, the two men discover that both mothers are possessive, creating an unexpected empathy in these types of situations. However, both have something to hide, both in the past and in the present.
The play, which should have been released in April, but was postponed due to the pandemic, has translation, adaptation, staging and interpretation by João Didelet and Marcantonio Del Carlo.
The original music is by André do Audio, Light design is in charge of Virgínia Esteves, the scenography is by Marcantonio Del Carlo and the costumes by João Didelet.
This is a co-production of Teatro da Trindade INATEL and MSHOW, and you can purchase your tickets HERE.
