Here comes “The Death of the Crow“! Opening on the 13th of January in Lisbon, a large-scale immersive theater play, similar to what we can find in London and New York.
With artistic direction by Nuno Moreira, who had already signed the creation of an immersive show in 2015 (E died happily ever after), “A Morte do Corvo” resurrects Edgar Allan Poe who died in 1849, and is a fiction around tense, jealous relationship between the American poet and Fernando Pessoa, and the orchestration of his death. That is the main plot, but there will be several secondary events taking place simultaneously where visitors can freely explore a space of about two thousand square meters while choosing which enigmatic characters to follow.

Without text, but with a great musical and choreographic component, in this immersive show, we travel to 1924. It is a production of great visual, scenic and technological impact. The staging is in charge of Ana Padrão and the direction of choreography is in charge of Bruno Rodrigues.
It lasts for about 100 minutes, with two sequential loops of the same story.
The play takes place in the former Hospital Militar da Estrela, now called the House of Neverless.
House of Neverless aims to be a cultural and innovative space with two floors for theater and a third for a gym, at number 29A Rua de Santo António à Estrela, in the former Hospital Militar da Estrela. The opening is scheduled for January 13th, with the premiere of A Morte do Corvo. Training, workshops, and events are some of the aspects that the space will add, with a logic of “where entertainment meets learning“, the fruit of the experience of the founding partners Filipa Caldeira, Nuno Moreira, Pedro Batalha, and Hugo Nóbrega – in the area of training in marketing digital, culture, and brands.
The first season of “A Morte do Corvo” is, for now, available until March 2023, from Wednesday to Sunday.

Synopsis
Pessoa invites his great friend Mário to the initiation ritual of the Order of Crows, a society that seeks the secret of life beyond death. The Order, led by Edgar Allan Poe, hides upstairs at the Nevermore Funeral Home. Several events will precipitate Pessoa into a depressive cycle that will end in the worst way. The rejection of his wife Ofélia will be the first.
The second, Mario’s suicide. And the last one… a profound discredit in himself. All of this orchestrated by Poe, moved by an uncontrollable envy of Pessoa’s genius. Welcome to the announced funeral of one of the greatest poets of all time.
