Ten Portuguese poets candidates for the aRi[t]mar prizes

Álamo Oliveira, Alexandra Santos, Hélia Correia, João Pedro Mésseder, Jorge C. Ferreira, Jorge Sousa Braga, Márcia, Raquel Serejo Martins, Rosa Oliveira and Samuel F. Pimenta are the pre-selected Portuguese poets.

For Galicia, those chosen by the jury were Ana Romaní, Arancha Nogueira, Carlos Lorenzo/Baldo Ramos, Iria Pinheiro and María Lado, Eduardo Estévez, Lucía Cernadas, María Lado, Rosa Enríquez, Rosalía Fernández Rial and Francisco Fernández Naval.

The winning poets, as well as the musicians already chosen – Cláudia Pascoal (Portugal) and Guadi Galego (Galicia) – will participate, in the fall, in Santiago de Compostela, at the aRi[t]mar 2021 Prize Gala.

The ten Portuguese and Galician poets candidates for the award were selected by a jury, which involves partner institutions, and voting is open to the public on the event’s website, from 11:00 am on Friday until the last minute of the event. on the 7th of May (23:59). Participants are eligible to draw a lot of books and CDs.

ARi[t]mar is a didactic and cultural project of the Official Language School of Santiago de Compostela, belonging to the Council of Culture, Education and University of the Junta de Galicia, which aims to disseminate current Galician-Portuguese music and poetry, as well as how to bring the culture and language of the two countries together.
