Teresa Portela and Joana Vasconcelos in the K2 500 final

Teresa Portela and Joana Vasconcelos today qualified Portugal for the first time for a K2 500-meter final in Canoeing World Championships in the championships that take place in Montemor-o-Velho.

The Portuguese duo were third in their series, delivering 1.41.737 minutes, 2.475 seconds more than New Zealanders Lisa Carrington and Catlin Ryan, who beat the Hungarians Anna Kárázs and Danuta Kozak for 1,085.
