Teresa Salgueiro, O Gajo and the premiere of O Fabuloso Destino de Amália at the Fusos Festival

The village of Alte hosts another edition of Fusos – Festival of Artistic Fusions.

From the 2nd to the 4th of June, there are two dozen shows spread across the village, which will cross different arts on stage, such as Music, Theatre, Sound Design, Dance, Poetry, Painting, Literature, and Radio.

Over the 3 days, the public travels through the village to follow the program and discover the most beautiful stages that Alte has to offer, in a relaxed and welcoming environment for all ages and tastes. A sublime way to get to know one of the most beautiful villages in Portugal, in the municipality of Loulé, which allows you to take a dip in its fountains, between concerts.

In this 6th edition of Fusos, the eyes are fixed on the flag drawn on the mountain to see the opening concert with Argonautus Ensemble and Carla Pontes (Música / Luz) and highlight for the concert by Teresa Salgueiro on Friday, the 2nd, where the fusion with technology will allow the public to be virtually next to the singer during the concert.

The mornings at Fusos are for taking a dip in Fonte Grande, Fonte Pequena or Queda do Vigário, trying out the local cuisine, and who knows canoe trips.

On Saturday night, on what is probably the most beautiful stage in the world, the absolute premiere of O Fabuloso Destino de Amália, a radio soap opera, which crosses radio with theater and music. Invoking the childhood of Amália Rodrigues, written by journalist António Pires, it features Carla Pires, Luanda Cozetti, Raquel Bulha, Carla Pontes, Luís Pucarinho, Jorge Benvinda, and Txibra on stage. Musicians from different musical universes come together to give voice to the characters that help the child Amália to become the great world icon.

Sunday begins with a walking route with music, followed by an afternoon of dancing and O Gajo closes the Fusos, next to the beautiful Vigário waterfall, where the polyphonic chants of Latvia, by the Saucejas will join.

Fusos is a village festival for all ages, in which all events are free, organized by the Parish Council of Alte and Loulé City Council with the support of the cultural association Fungo Azul and Antena 1.
