The group returns to Super Bock Super Rock on July 14th with the new album “Being Funny In A Foreign Language”.
Recently, The 1975 was honored at the BRIT Awards with the award for Best British Rock/Alternative Act. This is already the fourth BRIT Award that the group from Manchester has received along their route, after having received the Best British Group awards in 2017 and 2019, as well as the British Album of the Year with “A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships ”, also in 2019.
After releasing their acclaimed fifth studio album, “Being Funny In A Foreign Language” at the end of 2022, British group The 1975 also announced that they are returning to Portuguese stages, with a concert scheduled for the Super Bock Super Rock festival on July 14th.
The album includes the singles “Part of the Band”, “Happiness”, “I’m In Love With You”, “All I Need To Hear” and “Oh Caroline”. The group worked with producer Jack Antonoff (Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey) on this record.
The group, originally from the suburbs of Manchester, is formed by Matthew Healy, Adam Hahn, Ross MacDonald, and George Daniel. It didn’t take long for the band to start making waves, thanks to singles like “The City” and their energetic performances, capable of captivating crowds even in their early days.
They have since released their eponymous debut album in 2013, as well as the albums “I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It” (2016), “A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships” (2018) and “Notes on a Conditional Form” (2020), which made The 1975 one of the most interesting bands of recent years.
This summer, they return to Portugal with a very special concert at Super Bock Super Rock, on the 14th of July.
