Making music for more than half a century, The Beach Boys continue to ride the crest of a wave that is unparalleled in music history.

Over so many years, the band has become synonymous with a certain California lifestyle and also a symbol of American life itself to thousands of fans around the world. The Beach Boys present us this legacy live, on the “Sixty Years of the Sounds of Summer” tour, on July 1st, at Jardins do Marquês – Oeiras Valley, in Oeiras.


Since the band’s co-founder, vocalist and lyricist, Mike Love, wrote the lyrics of what was the band’s first big hit, “Surfin”, released in 1961, dozens more songs have occupied the top spot and have become anthems American youth songs, such as “Surfin’ USA,” “Surfer Girl,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Barbara Ann,” “Good Vibrations ,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Rock and Roll Music” or “Kokomo”…

Over their entire career, The Beach Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide and received more than 33 awards relating to gold and platinum records. In addition, the band, belonging to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, also won a Grammy in the Lifetime Achievement category, in 2001.

After more than five decades of performing all over the world, today it can be said that there is no other band that has given so many concerts in the history of rock music.

“Sounds Of Summer: The Very Best Of The Beach Boys”, a collection of 30 of the main themes from the band’s journey, has already reached triple platinum with the sale of more than 3 million units in the United States since the moment of release.

The night of July 1st will be, for all that, a unique night not to be missed, at Jardins do Marquês, in Oeiras!

The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love, who, with other founding member Bruce Johnston, music director Scott Totten, Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, Keith Hubacher and Randy Leago, continues the iconic band’s legacy . This concert will not feature Brian Wilson, Al Jardine or David Marks.
