Prime Video premieres this Thursday, May 29, the original series, The Better Sister. The original series premieres exclusively on Prime Video as part of the Prime subscription.

Based on the novel by best-selling author Alafair Burke, it is an eight-episode series that portrays the terrible events that drive two sisters apart and eventually bring them back together. Chloe (Jessica Biel), a media executive, lives a pleasant life alongside her handsome lawyer husband Adam (Corey Stoll) and their teenage son, Ethan (Maxwell Acee Donovan), while her estranged sister, Nicky (Elizabeth Banks), struggles to make ends meet and stay sober. When Adam is brutally murdered, the prime suspect shocks the entire family, bringing the two sisters together as they try to unravel a complicated family history to discover the truth behind his death.
Olivia Milch (Ocean’s 8) and Regina Corrado (Mayor of Kingstown) are producing the series, with Craig Gillespie (Pam & Tommy) serving as executive producer and director of the pilot episode. Jessica Biel, Elizabeth Banks, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Alissa Bachner, Kerry Orent, Annie Marter and Michelle Purple also serve as executive producers. The series is a co-production between Tomorrow Studios and Amazon MGM Studios.
