The Black Mamba and Rita Rocha among the winners of the IPMA Awards in the United States

The Black Mamba were awarded in the category of “Best Pop Performance” at the IPMA Awards, in Providence, USA. Rita Rocha won the “Public Choice” category.

The 11th edition of the IPMA Awards, an event that rewards music produced by artists of Portuguese descent, took place on the 20th of May. Bárbara Bandeira and Pedro Abrunhosa were two of the artists invited to perform at the ceremony.

The Black Mamba are one of the best Portuguese bands today and they leave no one indifferent when they take the stage. They will soon return to concerts with two important dates, at the North Music Festival on May 28th and on the 31st at Cineteatro Capitólio, in Lisbon.

Rita Rocha released her debut EP, A Miúda do 319, in March, which included the well-known singles Mais ou Menos Isto and Outros Planos. On the 15th and 17th of June, the “A Miúda do 319” will present her first record in the company of AGIR and Carolina Deslandes at the Teatro Sá da Bandeira, in Porto, and at the Cineteatro Capitólio, in Lisbon.
