The Color Run: More than 4,000 superheroes give power to the north of the country
The Color Run by Vinho Verde brings together the largest number of masked runners on May 18 at Parque Aventura da Lipor.
A few weeks after the arrival of The Color Run by Vinho Verde in the north of the country, more than 4,000 superheroes have been deployed to invade the Great Harbor and participate in the most fun ‘fight’ on the planet. The official match is scheduled for May 18, at 4 pm, and will be the first colorful race in the country to bring together the largest number of people masquerading as superheroes.
“This year we want each of the participants to get inspired, let go of their superhero vein and come masquerading for the race. Today we have 4,000 heroes, but we expect a lot more. We aim to make this event a landmark in the north the country with the most colored and dressed people, “explains Tiago Pereira, director of The Color Run in Portugal.
The Color Run by Vinho Verde aims to bring families and friends together in a day of color and fun, and since it is an uncourted event, the big challenge is to finish the race from head to toe. Over the 5km, there will be a foam station and a multicolored superhero station to ensure the fun is bending. The race has no age limit of participation and the colored powder is made of corn starch, used in the Food Industry, which makes the race safe and suitable for kids and adults.
After the passage of the goal, the fun continues in the Parque Aventura da Lipor, with many activities, designed for all ages, as well as music and dance. The Color Run also has a feeding zone for superheroes to replenish their energies.
In order to be part of this edition of the race, superheroes will have to purchase their individual or team participant kit (minimum of four members), which are available from € 18.90, on the official website, as well as in the Fnac, Worten, CTT and El Corte Inglés stores. Each kit includes an official T-shirt from The Color Run – Hero Tour, a buff, a color bag, two temporary tattoos, a medal, and a special surprise element. Children up to the age of 10 do not pay, and can optionally purchase your kit for € 10.
The Color Run by Vinho Verde, for the first time signed by the Viticulture Commission of the Vinhos Verdes Region, is sponsored by Montepio Mutualista Association, and has the support of Luso and Turismo do Centro, Lisbon, and Norte. Before hanging the cover, The Color Run by Vinho Verde will still fly to Coimbra on June 1 and Oeiras on June 29.
