Humor, music and boldness: stand-up with a full house returns to Casino Espinho in April
- The first performance is on April 9th – shows take place on Wednesdays and are free, but require ticket reservations, through a platform;
- The Comedy Club is an original creation by Solverde Casinos & Hotéis that was born at Casino Espinho in 2024 where it hosted 23 artists in 23 days of stand-up with a total of 10 thousand spectators;
Solverde Casinos & Hotéis, the leading brand operating in the areas of hospitality, entertainment and gaming in Portugal, announces that The Comedy Club, the group’s original format, will return to Casino Espinho and performances for April are already scheduled. Entry is free, but there is also a dinner show format (which includes starter or soup, main course, dessert and drinks) and which guarantees a seat in the front rows (for €25).
The Comedy Club in Espinho kicks off on April 9th with Carlos Vidal, who divides his time between humour and general and family medicine. On April 16th, it will be Joel Ricardo Santos’ turn, with a resume in several formats, from TV to podcasts, to take the stage: the comedian will present the new show Overbooking, in addition to being present at all sessions, as he is also the host of the event. Finally, on April 30th, it’s comedian Rúben Branco’s turn to show what he’s worth, the comedian who became popular for his humorous analyses of Morangos com Açúcar episodes.
This year, The Comedy Club in Espinho has something new: before each performance, there will be a first number by a new up-and-coming comedian (full information below). “We believe in creating original formats that surprise and that’s why we want to go further and support new artists who are just starting in the world of humour,” explains Marta Violas, Chief Marketing Officer at Solverde Casinos and Hotels.
The Comedy Club is a successful format, an original idea from Casino Espinho which in 2024 – the year it was created – welcomed 23 artists on 23 stand-up Wednesdays, bringing together a total of 10 thousand spectators. This year it also expands to Casino Chaves, with performances on Saturday and well-known names in Portuguese humour, from Fernando Rocha to Beatriz Gosta.
