Algarve is increasingly sought after as a destination to get married.
The Algarve is attracting growing interest from those seeking an international destination to marry. The region is already a success among the UK and Irish grooms, with Brazil and the US emerging as the markets with the highest growth potential, according to information gathered from ATA members.
Against this background, the Tourism Association of Algarve (ATA) – a body responsible for promoting this destination to foreign markets – has been intensifying its commitment to the product ‘Weddings’.
In addition to this year having already attended the Amour Forum, the main European event in the wedding industry, which took place in Vienna last February, the ATA has been promoting visits to the region of wedding planners and other international operators who work this segment, so that they can add the Algarve to its portfolio of destinations. At the same time, ATA has just launched on its website a set of specific content about the product ‘Weddings’, which joins the rest of the tourism offer promoted on this platform.
