Between Thursday and Saturday, in Lisbon, the first edition of the ‘Open Conventos’ initiative is held with free or guided visits by specialists to 26 convents of the capital and the realization of five itineraries.
With the organization of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, the Lisbon Patriarchate, the Town Hall and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the New University of Lisbon, ‘Open Conventos’ aims at promoting the heritage and history of the convents of Lisbon.
The “Open Conventos” program begins this Thursday at 18:00, at the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora, with a concert by Sérgio Silva’s organ, and talk with the theme “What to do in the convents of Lisbon ? “.
The free visits are between 10:00 and 18:00, as well as guided tours and itineraries between 10:00 and 15:00.
Free participation, by appointment, with a minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 30. PAs free visits do not require marking.
