The Legendary Tigerman is present at O Sol da Caparica
Between guitar distortions, riffs, and rock’n’roll melodies, The Legendary Tigerman is one of the confirmed presences for August 11, at O Sol da Caparica’22.
Born in Mozambique, he moved to Portugal at a young age and since then has made the world his stage. Without borders and with a pulse, Paulo Furtado, creator of this project, is appointed as one of the great references of rock made in Portugal, thanks to albums such as: “Fuck Christmas, I Got the Blues”, “In Cold Blood”, “Masquerade”, “ Femina” or the latest “Misfit”. And there is no shortage of adjectives to qualify the love relationship with the Portuguese public.
Dressed in a one-man band and under the skin of The Legendary Tigerman, a name that crosses the admiration of the artist Legendary Stardust Cowboy and the song Tiger Man by Rufus Thomas, Paulo rescues the blues sung on the banks of the Mississippi Delta, in the early 20th century for the contemporaneity with a sublime characteristic. The traditional analogue format (bass drum, hi-hat, guitar) is also shamelessly joined by some electronic solutions.
Twenty years after his solo debut, The Legendary Tigerman returns to the stage again alone, in a moment that is expected to be mythical and that will mark two decades of the tiger man’s career.
The Festival O Sol da Caparica’22 is an initiative of the Municipality of Almada, produced by Grupo Chiado.
