The Nordic Game Discovery Contest (NGDC) is online and on the move with its fifth season, presenting its most recent rating achieved in Italy, precisely online and with the DStars Connects conference.
QUARTOMUNDO’s “The Light of the Darkness” combines Castlevania’s progression, exploration and role-playing aspects with the history, dialogue, and theories of Legacy of Kain fans. It is a Metroidvania style game, inspired by the beloved classics. Explore the Lands of Oblivion, a cursed place between the worlds of Light and Darkness. Play as the first and only hybrid in an intriguing world, with a very interesting narrative and an original story.
“We couldn’t be happier with Nordic Game for having accepted us into the competition. “The Light of Darkness” has been around for a while, but after beating NGDC during DStars in Italy, it’s like we’re really on the map of independent games, ”said Fernando Rabello, CEO of QUARTOMUNDO.“ We’ve received a lot of attention and a lot of good things are happening to us. From an independent developer’s point of view, NGDC is simply an incredible initiative!”
The game is currently on Alpha, but you can sign up to follow it or on the wishlist on Steam and be updated when you get to the Beta.
The selected game will win a seat at the NGDC Grand Final in the November edition of NG21 in Malmö, Sweden, as well as prizes from Xsolla, Microsoft, WhisperGames and PR experts, Games Branding.
