The Night Flight Orchestra for the first time in Lisbon

Led by Björn “Speed” Strid, and with a lineup that includes members of SOILWORK and ARCH ENEMY, the highly acclaimed THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA will finally debut in Portugal in February next year.
Following an overwhelmingly positive response from the press and fans to their latest album, «Aeromantic II», THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA, which features members of SOILWORK and ARCH ENEMY, will kick off 2025 with Moon Over Europe Tour, a series of shows across Europe that includes the Swedish supergroup’s first performance in Portugal. The show will take place on February 5, 2025, in venue 2 of LAV – Lisboa Ao Vivo, and, in its luggage, the band brings not only the songs from its most recent album but also the greatest hits of a career that, at this point, it is already on its way to two decades of existence.
Formed in 2007, THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA presents a fusion of influences and sounds that has transformed them into one of the most vibrant musical projects today. Formed by musicians from iconic bands in the heavy music universe, such as SOILWORK and ARCH ENEMY, the group led by Björn “Speed” Strid and Sharlee D’ Angelo presents itself as a vibrant tribute to the rock and hard rock of the 70s and 80s, combining classic references with a colourful range of contemporary elements. The result: songs like «Domino», «Divinyls», «Lovers In The Rain» and «This Time» celebrate the past while looking to the future, mixing memorable melodies with energetic rhythms that captivate audiences of all ages.
With a sound identity that recalls all the references of a golden era of guitar music, the debut album, «Internal Affairs», from 2012, quickly catapulted THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA into the spotlight. Since then, the musicians have won fans across Europe with a string of hit singles and a discography marked by growing recognition, with their two most recent albums, «Aeromantic» and «Aeromantic II», from 2020 and 2021, respectively, to establish themselves as a masterpiece that explores new sound dimensions, while maintaining the essence that cemented their fame. Also applauded for their explosive shows, described as a unique experience that combines musical quality with a captivating visual side, the Swedish super-group now promises a truly unforgettable night for everyone present at LAV – Lisboa Ao Vivo.
