Big Data is no longer a simple buzzword of technology to become a tool that all organizations seek to improve the decision-making process. This is the starting point of the online seminar organized this week by the Piaget Institute.
“Big Data and Territorial Development” is the theme of this week’s webinar integrated into the Piaget Digital Talks cycle. The event will be held, as always, on Thursday, June 18, starting at 9 pm, in an organization of the Piaget Institute.
With the exponential increase in the capacity for obtaining, storing and processing large volumes of information, boosted by the rapid evolution of new technologies, there is an increasing need for effective management of all these data, so that they can bring an effective increase value to the activity of companies and institutions.
Debating this very current topic will be a panel of experts composed by Paulo Simões, 1st Secretary of the Intermunicipal Community of the West; Nuno Santos, commercial director at Oracle Portugal; and Rui Gonçalves, professor at the Piaget de Almada Institute and specialist in Information Management. The moderation will be in charge of Ricardo Simões Santos, assistant director of the Higher School of Technology and Management of the Piaget Institute of Almada and also of a student from the same School.
Attentive to the emergence of this new reality, the Piaget Institute will present, for the first time, in the next academic year, the CTeSP (Technical Higher Professional Course) on Data Analysis in Information Management.
