THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT went straight to #1 on the sales charts in Portugal and more than 15 countries. In just 48 hours, it became the best-selling album of the year and is now the fastest album to surpass 1 billion global streams in history.
Taylor Swift is the only artist to date to have seven albums that exceed 1 million units sold in the week of release and has the most albums to reach #1 on the Billboard 200 this century.
Thanks to THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT, Taylor Swift became the artist to quickly surpass 10 billion streams on Spotify in 2024, and also achieved the record for the highest number of streams in a single day for an artist catalogue in history from Spotify, with 380 million streams.
It is under this tide of success that Taylor Swift is preparing to resume her very successful tour “The Eras Tour”, which will pass through Portugal with two concerts, sold out just over 4 hours after the opening at the box office, on the 24th and May 25th at Estádio da Luz, in Lisbon.
