The Twist Connection releases new disk Concentrate, Give it up, It’s too late
The Twist Connection are back and brings with it a record that is a pure rock’n’roll celebration.
The new album Concentrate, Give it up, It ́s too late, composed of eight great songs, presents itself as a short, sober and direct record, where you can see where the band comes from and where you want to go. Without concessions, with the usual delivery and courage, this album is said to be one of the highest moments of the band’s career.
The perception that time waits for no one is one of the forces that drive this new work, where life—with its despair, love, losses and constant theft—returns to be the great theme. The Twist Connection thus continues to walk its path, faithful to the energy that characterizes it and ready for another chapter of its discography.
With “Crime” and “Concentrate” as advance singles – Concentrate has been running on radio since February and now receives a video clip – the album confirms the essence of The Twist Connection: a powerful sound, marked by the focus and passion for rock. In “Concentrate“, Tracy Vandal’s special appearance adds a new layer of brilliance: her voice entwines perfectly with the pulsating rhythm of the song.
Tracks such as “I Can’t Breaste Now” and the other compositions that make up this work demonstrate the maturity of a band that built a solid path, where talent and persistence brought them here – ready for new flights and with a sound that belongs to them and to no one else.
The album was produced and mixed by The Twist Connection & João Rui and mastered by João Rui.
With a presentation date set for April 10, at B.Leza at 10 pm, the disc is available on all digital platforms.

The Twist Connection
Born in 2016, The Twist Connection quickly became one of the most captivating live bands on the Portuguese music scene. Three well-received albums and hundreds of concerts later, are undoubtedly one of the most tireless bands in activity, feeling equally at home both in small bars and in large festivals – and everything in between! – always delivering intense performances, driven by an unwavering faith in the power of rock’n’roll!
“Speedball Baby meets The Kinks and MC5”, wrote critics. “The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion!” screamed someone. “The Make-Up,” whispered others. But nobody’s right: they don’t sound like anyone else! Classic rock’n’roll filtered by punk sensitivities (proto and post), with a look toward the future. Three men with back-to-back histories and personalities who push them forward. Distorted but melodic guitars, highly creative bass lines, and a raw, direct battery, unhinged.
