The month of Christmas has come. Look out for the cultural tassels that you can enjoy these days in Lisbon and Porto.

Christmas already lurks! With the arrival of December flourish the suggestions of markets and fairs in which Christmas is the central figure.

But there is much more to discover these days 7, 8 and 9 December.

For Lisbon, there will be many Harry Potter trying to escape but also exhibitions, music and even yoga to discover. To the north we also have Christmas but it is music that is in the centre of attention, with shows for all tastes to discover and more.

Lisbon Area

Escape the room, Harry Potter

The Baldaya Palace in Benfica will be this weekend a kind of improvised Hogwarts. There is an escape game the room, free, to enjoy. And the theme of inspiration will delight the fans of magicians and wizards: Harry Potter. The participation is free but implies registration through the email. There are four sessions on Saturday and four sessions on Sunday. Enjoy!

There’s a lively Saturday at Colombo’s Fnac

This Saturday, December 8, has a full schedule in the Columbus Fnac. Here’s what you can find out: By 11.30, there is Story Time, Edite Vicente entertaining the little one. By 4 pm there is music to listen to, with the showcase from Side to Side. Finally, at 9:30 p.m., there is ‘Maluco Beleza’, a book by Rui Unas, which will be presented by Rui Sinel de Cordes.

Wonderland Lisboa

Until January 1, Eduardo VII Park has Wonderland Lisboa. There are Ferris wheel, ice rings, decorations and ‘all things Christmas’ to discover, with Christmas saying ‘Gift’ right in the heart of the capital.

It’s Christmas at the Alvalade Market

The Alvalade Market will once again be in celebration, with the market’s tree going in its 5th edition and runs from December 7 to 16, at Avenida da Igreja, an artery in which visitors of all ages can find artisans and merchants from all over the country. Learn everything here.

Yoga at Quinta das Conchas

Until February, on Sunday mornings, at 10:30 a.m., there is Free Yoga to experience at Quinta das Conchas, one of the largest green spaces in the capital. It is the ideal opportunity to discover this ancient practice, outdoors and in good company. Learn more here.

The Municipal Archive of Lisbon has a new exhibition: ‘Photography, my favourite trip’ has records by Helena Corrêa de Barros, a photographic collection with travel images collected between 1947 and 1972 that the family donated to the Archive so that we can all to see.

There is Christmas in Porto

This year’s Invicta’s Christmas program includes numerous attractions, from the Fantasy Square to the two ice rinks, music from different trends and genres, markets, street animation with humour, children’s stories and much more to enjoy up to 6 of January.
