December has already reached the front and there are tassels to enjoy.
With Christmas already making itself felt on the streets, there are many events to enjoy in Greater Lisbon and in the Great Harbor that are beautiful gifts to enjoy.
As usual, News by Minute has been looking for events that are friends of the wallet. There are exhibitions and music in progress through Lisbon, to the north, there is lots of music, with Christmas giving the motto for the festivities.
It’s time to open the calendar and start planning what to do these days.
Lisbon
There are short films in the subway
Cais do Sodré subway station is the ‘little house’ of the shorts this Sunday, December 2. The Generator joined efforts to Metropolitano de Lisboa for another show of animated short films. The curatorship is from the Bang Awards – International Animation Awards and there are seven short films (four of the Portuguese).
Philharmonic bands parade on the avenue
The Avenue of Liberdade receives this Saturday an event that is already becoming a tradition. There are more than 30 philharmonic bands in harmonious step Freedom below, with the parade from the Statue of the Combatants of the Great War. The party only ends down in Restauradores Square.
Photography, my favourite trip
The Municipal Archive of Lisbon has a new exhibition: ‘Photography, my favourite trip’ has records by Helena Corrêa de Barros, a photographic collection with travel images collected between 1947 and 1972 that the family donated to the Archive so that we can all to see.
Arena Live 2018
This is an exception because it is on Mondays that it will take place. But note: The Casino of Lisbon is offering a series of ten concerts to hear until the end of the year at the Arena Lounge. The entrance, as you wish, is free. On December 3 there is HMB to listen to. Learn everything here.
It’s Christmas at the Alvalade Market
The Mercado de Alvalade will once again be celebrating: on December 1st, Saturday, we invite you to attend a performance of the ADECAM Choir at 10.30. Take advantage to discover the Christmas tree of the market, which each year presents a different decoration. Learn more here.
Yoga at Quinta das Conchas
Until February, on Sunday mornings, at 10:30 a.m., there is Free Yoga to experience at Quinta das Conchas, one of the largest green spaces in the capital. It is the ideal opportunity to discover this ancient practice, outdoors and in good company. Learn more here.

Double-dose music at Fábrica Nortada
Fábrica Nortada (Rua de Sá da Bandeira, 210) has cover shows. This Friday, the 30th, there is The Cover Van Duo to listen to from 10 pm. Already on Saturday, December 1, there is a tribute to Bob Marley to discover with Soul Rebel performing from 10.30. The entrance, as you wish, is free.
Christmas with António Zambujo in Matosinhos
The Christmas festivities in Matosinhos begin on November 30, at 5:30 p.m., with the lighting of Christmas illuminations, which will continue until January 6. On this same Friday, at 9.30 pm, António Zambujo gives a concert that marks the beginning of the festivities for the coming weeks. Check out the whole program here.
There is music at Bom Sucesso Market
The Bom Sucesso Market has counted on musical animation for the most varied tastes. The space is in one of the noble zones of the city and invites to the tour. This Saturday there’s H1 music to discover. Brazilian music, pop, reggae and rock in a free entrance show. Learn more here.
Dominguinhos at MAR Shopping
MAR Shopping continues to give us Dominguinhos, Sunday mornings with animation to think about the little one. The workshops are educational and delight the little ones. This Sunday, at 11 am, there are Puppet Theater – the delay of Santa Claus. It is free but you will need to register. Click here!
Portobello … Porto Belo
Every Saturday, the historic and world-famous London market of Portobello has a version to think about the ‘relax’ at Invicta. Here is Porto Bello, which has several benches. Purchases will have to be paid with the effort of the wallet, the ride not for that.
