In Porto and Lisbon there are many and varied cultural proposals, quite portfolio friendly, to discover alone or in good company.

Get to know the proposals we have for you on August 16, 17 and 18.

 

Lisbon

Oeiras is a Stage

Oeiras has been very lively. Every Saturday and Sunday, between 17h and 18h, are live music and shows in the most diverse spaces. Take note of what you can enjoy this weekend: on Saturday there are circus arts of Chapitô Next to the Church of Tercena Sunday is the turn to listen to Original Bandalheira, in Praia da Torre (Oeiras).

Seven Suns Seven Moons

The Gunpowder Factory in Barcarena is once again the scene of the Seven Suns Seven Moon Festival. There are several concerts that have happened and many still will happen in this 27th edition of the festival, which lasts until August 31st. Admission is free.

Out Jazz continues

Out Jazz is already one of the hippest traditions in Lisbon. Outdoor music and good weather with friends at the end of Sunday. The recipe is foolproof and is to be taken weekly. In May, Out Jazz took place in the Torre de Belém Garden. In June, it moved to Campo Grande Garden and, in July, it was the turn of the Jardim da Estrela to ‘come to service’. In August is the Ribeira das Naus to report to the service. The music is always on Sundays and starts at 17h.

Leide’s music on Le Chat

Le Chat (Jardim 9 de Abril, Lisboa) receives this Friday, between 17h and 20h, the music of Leide, or Nádia Priscilla, a singer who brings R&B and Hip Hop in a mix that is worth the ‘listen’ .

Vieira da Silva, an immersive experience

‘Art Has Come to Colombo’ is an initiative that gives us the opportunity to discover the art of big names in the ‘heart’ of the shopping center. At stake is an immersive digital art and multimedia experience that uses perspective, color, and shape to celebrate 35 works by Vieira da Silva, adding life to them digitally and deconstructing them in an unprecedented way. Patent until August 26th.

Poetry and Resistance | despite you

Poetry and Resistance | even though you are an initiative of the open mic swallow collective, waiting for voices and their respective verses. The event will take place at the end of the day this Friday, August 16, at the VALSA association (Rua da Penha de França, 270 – Lisbon).

 

 

Porto

Porto Sense

The photographic exhibition ‘Porto Sentido’ has as protagonists residents of municipal districts of Porto. Authored by Carlos Ruiz Carmona, the exhibition features 12 portraits, where the author seeks to capture the richness that exists in the eyes of municipal tenants. To see until the end of the year, on weekdays (between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm), at Domus Social premises (Rua Monte dos Burgos).

House Music Summer

The Casa da Música Esplanade is a musical meeting place on these summer days. It is the Summer cycle of the House that is at stake in what is one of the most emblematic cultural spaces in the country. Check out the Casa da Música website to know what to expect. The program lasts until September 11th.

There is music at the Nortada Factory

The Nortada Factory (Sá da Bandeira Street, 210 – Porto) has had varied music to accompany the convivial atmosphere. This Friday is no exception, with the music coming with the sung accent from beyond the Atlantic, to the account of Brazilians Lúdica Música.

Back to traditional commerce

This Saturday, August 17, is another edition of the initiative Return to Traditional Commerce. There is an orienteering route through Matosinhos to discover the local ‘secrets’. Participation is free, but mandatory registration.

The Douro on display

The exhibition ‘Douro [DWR] 3 soils between sky and earth’ is exhibited at Pasteleira Reservoir until April 20th. It is an exhibition about the Douro region, throughout its territory from the Spanish border to the sea. Admission is free. To see until August 31st.

Dominguinhos at MAR Shopping

The little one always has things to do on Sunday mornings at MAR Shopping. From 11 am, there are workshops for the younger ones to venture out. This Sunday is from Science Atelier – The Magic of Water.
