There are many hats and Lisbon will filled with them in September

Event aims to break the differences of access to culture and promote street artists.

In September the hats return to the streets of Lisbon for the third edition of ‘Hats on the Street – Lisbon’s Busking Festival’, a festival of artistic expression that aims to break the differences of access to culture and promote artists and street art.

This year, the event, which intends to assert itself as the ‘Festival de Circo de Lisboa’, will take place from 10 to 16 September in Largo do Intendente, Campo das Cebolas, Market Cultures and Chapitô.

Access is free and based on the concept of busking, a practice used by many artists in Europe, originating from the millenarian tradition in which the theater was primed by a more direct contact with the spectators, where the artists present the audience with a performance, to this one to repay with the value that finds together by the action in the corresponding hats.

The festival, produced by CORD’A – Corrente d ‘Arte Association, counts this year with the presence of 14 national and international artists, who intend to show what is best done on the street with demonstrations of theater, music, juggling, dance, Chinese mast and puppets.
