There is rain and there are six districts under notice due to the sea bustle

Six districts of mainland Portugal are now under yellow warning due to the prediction of sea turmoil, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

According to the IPMA, the districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra, and Leiria are under yellow warning due to the maritime unrest until 16h00 today.

The yellow warning, the third of a scale of four, reveals a risk situation for certain activities depending on the weather situation.

The IPMA predicts for today on the West Coast northwest waves with 2.5 to 3.5 meters, being 3.5 to 4.5 meters north of Cape Carvoeiro until late afternoon.

On the south coast, one is predicted waves of the southwest with 1 meter.

As for the weather, the IPMA foresees for today in the regions of the North and Center generally very cloudy sky, periods of rain, passing gradually to regime of weak showers and infrequent until the end of the morning, and that can be of snow in the points more Serra da Estrela until the early hours of the morning.

The forecast also points to weak to moderate wind from the west quadrant, blowing moderate to strong in the highlands until early morning, morning mist or fog in some locations and lowering the maximum temperature.

In the southern region, the sky is generally very cloudy, periods of light rain until the end of the afternoon and wind weak to moderate of the west quadrant, blowing temporarily moderate to strong in the highlands until the beginning of the morning.

There is also fog or morning fog in some places, a small rise in the minimum temperature and a decrease in the maximum.

The minimum temperatures in the continent will vary between 5 degrees Celsius (in Bragança and Guarda) and 13 (in Lisbon) and the maximum between 10 degrees (in Guarda) and 19 (in Faro).
