Tiago Bettencourt announces his first SOLO tour
Tiago Bettencourt is getting ready to kick off his first solo tour, with the first concert scheduled for September 21st.
“Fio da Navalha” is his first solo tour, a long-time ambition of the artist and his fans. This series of concerts promises to bring a new perspective on his extensive repertoire, with intimate performances and a concept that allows for greater closeness with the audience.
Fans will have the opportunity to participate actively in the concerts. Through his official website, they can send requests for songs, with or without dedications – (there will also be forms available at the entrance of each event for the same purpose).
These requests will be placed in a tombola on stage, and during the concert, Tiago Bettencourt will randomly draw cards from the tombola and perform the songs requested by the fans. This direct interaction ensures a personalised and unique show. In the artist’s words:
“The idea is risky, I know… I was inspired by the many times during concerts when I asked the audience to suggest songs for me to play. It never went wrong, and I liked the risk, of sharing that risk. The concert becomes a kind of partnership with those who are there. The audience becomes a partner in the journey taken. In this “Fio da Navalha” tour, I believe adding messages or dedications to the suggestions will bring a new layer to this sharing. Perhaps unexpected conversations will arise, or silences that make you think, or just laugh. We’ll see!” – Tiago Bettencourt promises.
The tour, which will visit various cities in Portugal, has confirmed dates so far:
- 21st September in Maia
- 26th October in Tondela
- 9th November in Montijo
- 15th November in Matosinhos
- 23rd November in Miranda do Corvo
- 29th March in Estarreja
