Tiago Silva was born in Dornelas do Zêzere, is 36 years old, lives in Coimbra, and is a concertina and accordion teacher at the Coimbra Music Academy and at the Cerebral Palsy Association of the same city, where he has worked since 2011.
He discovered a taste for music when, at the age of 12, he joined the folkloric ranch in the village of Dornelas do Zêzere-Pampilhosa da Serra. In 1999 he records in his own name, the first of nine albums with a popular matrix, which leads him to step on stages of all sizes, across the country.
Tiago Silva revealed himself to the country through his presence on the program “The Voice Portugal”, which marked a new path in his career. With the success of their television participation, contacts for shows proliferated, but the Covid-19 pandemic caused them to be canceled.
Tiago, who had long wanted to put into practice a musical project he had in mind, rolled up his sleeves and is now preparing to launch a campaign around our culture that will be taken to the stages, lands of our country and where you can listen to songs that we all know and sing, revisited. Thus “Juntos pela Música Portuguesa” was born, a new stage for the musician.
The kick-off of “Juntos pela Música Portuguesa” will take place on February 25 in an online format that will be broadcast on Tiago Silva’s Facebook.
“Juntos pela Música Portuguesa”, the first concert with several guests, will take place in the second quarter of 2021 (on a date yet to be announced) and will include part of the repertoire that Tiago Silva will present to us on the 25th.
