Tindersticks announce new album ‘Past imperfect’ and reveal new single

Return to Portugal scheduled for May

The British band Tindersticks announces ‘Past Imperfect: The Best of Tindersticks ’92-’21’, a new album to be released in March and which anticipates the band’s European tour, with a scheduled stop in Portugal, on the 13th and 14th of May, in Coliseums.

On the verge of embarking on an extensive European tour that will pass through the Coliseums of Lisbon and Porto on the 13th and 14th of May, Tindersticks announce a new album, to be released on the 25th of March by City Slang Records.

Past Imperfect: The Best of Tindersticks ’92-’21’ maps the band’s 30-year journey through 20 songs that mark some of the best moments in their rich history. The first half of the album includes songs from the band’s original lineup, featuring vocalist Stuart Staples, guitarist Neil Fraser, and multi-instrumentalist David Boulter, along with drummer Al Macaulay, bassist Mark Colwill, and multi-instrumentalist Dickon Hinchliffe. The second half features music from the current lineup of Staples, Fraser, Boulter, drummer Earl Harvin, and multi-instrumentalist Dan McKinna.

The band also revealed an unreleased track, ‘Both Sides Of The Blade‘. The theme was written for Claire Denis’s upcoming film, “Avec amour et acharnament” with Juliette Binoche, which opens on February 12th. The video was directed by Stuart Staples and stars Suzanne Osborne.
