Every Thursday, at 7:30 pm, Bica-San hosts the Bica Sound Sessions. Curated by Ana Vulcão, Bica Sound Sessions feature local musicians who play on the streets of the neighbourhood, thus giving them a platform to reach a wider audience.
The energy of Bica is brought inside, to a privileged “stage”, creating a happy atmosphere and the perfect accompaniment to a Thursday dinner at Bica-San.
On the December agenda: Pandeiro in Jazz (Thursday 14), La Cortavena (Thursday 21) and Adois (Thursday 28).
PANDEIRO IN JAZZ

An unusual mix proves that music really has no borders. Formed by Juninho Ibituruna (Pandeiro) Pri Azevedo (Piano) and Francesco Valente (Double Bass), this group brings a careful and rich repertoire, which ranges from original themes to reinterpretations of great names in jazz.

LA CORTAVENA

La Cortavena is a band that plays folklore, boleros and Latin American waltzes. With members from Chile and the United Kingdom, the band reinterprets hidden gems of Latin American music. Music that tells and sings stories of melancholy, heartbreak and longing, music that speaks to our sadness, but that soothes the soul through shared connection.

ADOIS
THURSDAY 28 DECEMBER – 7:30 PM
It was at a singing class in Lisbon that Karine from Algarve met Diogo Abrantes, a young skimboarder who dreamed of being a singer. Friends for many years, one day love spoke louder and since then they started composing together.
They decided to record a song “just because” and thus the Adois project was born.
