Tomás de Papel edits Desconcertante Modo de Vida

After the release of “Casa de Alguém” and “Corpo de Papel”, the first anticipated singles, Tomás de Papel has just released his debut album, Desconcertante Modo de Vida.

Designed as an act of tragedy to compensate for the fact that Tomás de Papel was the protagonist of a body and subsequent film that he did not choose, the album is an escape plan from himself. In an inconsequential separation of this project and everything that the artist carries on his back, Desconcertante Modo de Vida is, according to the artist, “the murder of the ego that held him hostage”.

In a narrative that could be “invented”, but that reflects a project that the author dreamed of his entire life, it is possible to contemplate poems written in his mother tongue, the questions and resolutions, the conflicts and landscapes of a self-styled thinker who look for the answers to be happy. The album thus begins his solo journey, taking on indie rock and pop folk, as the musical genres that embrace this decisive moment for Tomás de Papel: “There is a part of me in each song, in each felt word. The guitar is my body and my voice is a weapon that I intend to use to defend everything I believe in”, he highlights.

Desconcertante Modo de Vida was recorded at Blacksheep Studios by Francisco Dias Pereira and produced by Tomás de Papel and the musicians who accompany him: Carlos Bb (Keep Razor Sharp) on drums, Luís Judícibus and Francisco Dias Pereira (Them Flying Monkeys) on bass, keys and guitar. It is now available on all digital platforms.
