Toquinho and Camilla Faustino at Casino Estoril

Antonio Pecci Filho, Toquinho took the stage at Casino Estoril for a wonderful concert where he was accompanied by the sweet voice of Camilla Faustino and a surprise guest, the great António Zambujo.
The experienced singer, composer, and guitarist, Toquinho returned to Portugal for a concert at the Casino Estoril Auditorium, for an intimate concert where, in addition to his songs, he offered us many delicious stories about the songs, Vinícius de Moraes and Chico Buarque.
There were many smiles, laughter, and applause he received from an audience of fans who filled the auditorium to hear him, on this fantastic night where bossa nova was king.
With a collection of 85 albums, he composed more than 500 songs and starred in around 10,000 shows in his country of origin and around the world, he worked with some of the most important names in music, such as Vinícius de Moraes, Chico Buarque, Jorge Ben Jor, Paulinho da Viola, Francis Hime, Mutinho, Carlinhos Vergueiro, Gianfrancesco Guarnieri, Elifas Andreato and Paulo César Pinheiro.
A confessed admirer of Baden Powell, Edgard Gianullo, and Oscar Castro Neves, he paid tribute to them at the concert, winning over the Estoril audience.
In the year in which he celebrates 50 years of his career, the musician from “Aquarela”, “Tarde em Itapuã”, “Que maravilha”, “Regra três”, “Escravo da alegria”, “O caderno”, “A casa”, “O pato”, “Na tonga da mironga do kabuletê”, “Samba de Orly”, “Carta ao Tom 74”, “Cotidiano n.º 2”, “Samba pra Vinicius”, “Canção pra Jade” and “Carolina Carol bela” continues to amaze all who hear it.
In this concert, he was accompanied by Camilla Faustino, considered one of the most beautiful voices of “New MPB”. Toquinho’s stage partner has been surprising with her ability to transition through different musical styles, constantly imprinting her identity. His latest album “Bossa, semper Bossa”, a tribute to 60 years of Bossa Nova, was nominated for a Latin Grammy.
But the concert would also have a surprise guest, António Zambujo, who with Camila and Toquinho performed two songs, “Carta ao Tom” / “Samba em prelude” and “Berimbau”. The man from Alentejo, a self-confessed admirer of Brazilian music, and an admirer of Toquinho, thanked him for the invitation to join him on stage.
As expected, it was one of the biggest concerts of the year in Portugal.
