The Norwegian musician, who forms a trio with Jarle Vesperestad, on drums, and Sigurd Hole, on double bass, brings the album “The Other Side”, on November 6th, to Teatro Micaelense, said in a note to press.

The first edition of PDLJazz will have a multifaceted alignment, composed of international and national names, which will be announced shortly.

Tord Gustavsen was born in Oslo in 1970 and started playing the piano at the age of four, showing an aptitude for composition and improvisation even before learning to read music and play classical pieces.

His interest in jazz emerged at the age of 19, when he began his studies at the University of Oslo, having joined the jazz department at the Conservatory of Music in Trondheim at the age of 23.

With eight albums published, in trio, quartet or ensemble, he returns to Portugal with “The Other Side”, his most recent work, published in 2018.
