Roland Garros tournament postponed
The tennis tournament at Roland Garros, in France, will take place a week later than planned, taking place between May 30th and June 13th.
This information confirms what was already being advanced by the press, namely the L’Équipe newspaper, which had said that the French tournament, scheduled for between 23 May and 6 June, had been postponed for a week due to the pandemic of covid- 19.
Changing the date of the French Grand Slam could allow more spectators to attend the tournament, at a time when France is undergoing a new period of confinement.
Last year, the Roland Garros tournament was postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic, which took place between September 27 and October 11, and ended with Spaniard Rafael Nadal’s victory over Serbian Novak Djokovic.
