Toyota confirmed last year that it will unveil this year a new electric SUV with a European focus similar in size to the RAV4, which will be the first model based on the new e-TNGA architecture specific to 100% electric mobility.
Toyota had previously indicated that it was planning up to six BEVs (battery vehicles) on the e-TNGA platform that it co-developed with Subaru. The architecture can be adjusted for different lengths and wheelbases with options for one or two traction motors, different transmission schemes, and a range of different energy capacities in the batteries.
The complete presentation will take place in digital format, on March 17th at 9 am at www.x-prologue.com
