Tradidanças 2025: Festival launches 1st Traditional Music Competition
Contemporary and opens registrations for several areas
Tradidanças – Festival of Traditions, Dance, Music and Nature returns to Carvalhais, São Pedro do Sul, for its seventh edition, which takes place between July 30th and August 3rd.
The organisation now announces the launch of the 1st Traditional Contemporary Music Competition, as well as the opening of registrations for volunteering, artisans and therapists fair, and restoration.
ATASA – organiser of Tradidanças – launches the 1st Traditional Contemporary Music Competition, challenging musicians to create original themes inspired by tradition and/or using traditional Portuguese instruments, whose structure and rhythm correspond to a traditional Portuguese dance.
Registrations are open until May 15th, and after evaluation by a jury, they will move on to an online voting phase by the public. The rules and registration form are available at www.tradidancas.pt/concurso-musica-tradicional.
Starting May 2nd, registrations will open to join the festival’s volunteer team, as well as participate in the artisans and therapists fair and the food area. All information and registration forms are available at www.tradidancas.pt/participar.
Daily tickets for Tradidanças 2025 will be available for purchase from May 2nd, both online and at the usual physical points of sale. The 5-day general admission ticket is now on sale, with camping included in the price.
The Tradidanças organisation will announce the headliners for the 2025 edition in May, promising a diverse program that combines music, dance, tradition and nature, promoting a participatory festival for all ages.
