Big three win on round 11

The 11th round of the I Liga was played, and the first three, win their matches, including Benfica, which had the most difficult game, with Braga, who entered the journey in fourth and left in fifth after the heavy defeat at Estádio da Luz, being overtaken by Estoril.

Benfica

Benfica returns to winning ways, after several games without winning, against Braga, gets a robust victory by 6-1, in a game of the 11th round of the I League.

This heavy defeat for Braga takes them away from the top of the standings and they are still behind Estoril.

The scorers were Everton and Rafa, with two goals each, Darwin and Grimaldo were the scorers of the other two goals, for Braga it was Ricardo Horta who scored the goal.

Coming from a rout in Germany, against Bayern, they returned to the team, Otamendi, Weigl, Rafa and Darwin Núñez, Grimaldo was the first to score the first, but Ricardo Horta, would return, 10 minutes later to equalize.

The match would then end up leaning towards the reds, despite the departures due to injury by João Mário and Lucas Veríssimo, with Benfica speeding up the game, and finishing the first half winning 4-1, with goals from Darwin in the 37′ and two from Rafa at 42′ and others already in discounts.

In the second half, Everton scored the 5-1 on 52′, and then on 59′ the 6-1 and the home team then limited itself to controlling the game, with Braga trying not to expose themselves to more goals.

Sporting

Sporting moved to Paços de Ferreira, and won 2-0, not letting Porto escape in the lead, that also won.

With this victory, the eighth consecutive victory for all competitions, the Greens and Whites continue their good phase, maintaining their leadership in the I League, before the break for the national teams’ matches.

The goal scorers were Gonçalo Inácio and Pedro Gonçalves, with Sporting putting pressure on the home team, and adding opportunities, first by Sebastián Coates, then Ricardo Esgaio, with goalkeeper André Ferreira holding.

Passos de Ferreira, was gradually also coming to the goal of Sporting, and even ended the first half on top. The first of the Lisbon team, would eventually appear, to which Paços tried to react but without success and shortly after suffered the second.

Porto

FC Porto to São Miguel, but this time comes back with a 3-0 victory, after the defeat suffered against Santa Clara, for the League Cup, thus remaining in the lead of the I League.

Sérgio Oliveira and Luis Díaz with two goals were the scorers, despite the victory, Porto did not start well, many mechanics were unable to surprise, it was Sérgio Oliveira making the difference, with a shot placed near the end of the first half.

Porto entered the second half as they did in the first, and it was thanks to Luis Díaz, who extended the lead first, following a beautiful cross from Otávio.

Santa Clara saw their chances of returning to the game, even more difficult, with Allano being sent off, after seeing the second yellow card, and Porto took advantage, with Luis Díaz scoring again.

FC Porto now has 29 points just like Sporting, Benfica is in third with 28.
