Impossible Theater Trilogy premieres today

Trilogia do Teatro Impossível was the way that the poet and playwright Federico Garcia Lorca found to describe three of his plays: O Público (1930), As soon as Five Years Pass (1932), and Comédia Sem Título (1936), a name that the Spanish author related both to the form and content of the texts.

The freedom of Love, Time, Masks, and the Revolution are the main themes of the texts, having, in all of them, a new form of Theater as a backdrop.

This version by Miguel Graça brings together parts of the three plays, with a special focus on Comédia Sem Título, the unfinished play by Federico Garcia Lorca, on which he was working before being shot in Spain on the brink of civil war.

Directed by Carlos Avilez, this new production by Teatro Experimental de Cascais [TEC] features scenery and costumes by Fernando Alvarez, original music by Pedro Jóia, choreographies by João Lara, and with the participation of more than 50 young people who end with this show the Interpretation course at the Cascais Professional School of Theater alongside actors Renato Pino, Luiz Rizo, Sérgio Silva, Teresa Côrte-Real, from TEC.
