A set of outdoor commercial activities, along with moments of music and entertainment, are the attractions of the first edition of Troino ao Léu, which, on the 25th, intends to energize and attract more people to the emblematic neighborhood of Setúbal.
The event, in addition to allowing greater economic dynamics in Bairro do Troino, has the particularity of supporting local businesses and attracting more people to that emblematic and traditional area of the city.
The event, which takes place between 10:30 and 21:00, is organized in partnership with the Bairro Cool Association with the City Council and the Union of Parishes of Setúbal, as part of a project, implemented in May, with the objective of, with several actions , involve residents, economic agents and institutions in the enhancement of Troino’s public space.
During the 25th, the windows give place to exhibitors placed in the public space, next to the facades of the establishments.
On display for exhibition and sale are products of all kinds, including clothing, art, crafts and items related to the canning industry.
The event, which is free of charge, includes the exhibition of all the business activities that exist at Troino, such as the cases of shoemakers and carpenters.
In addition to commerce, the Troino ao Léu gives the neighborhood more animation, with a program of cultural and recreational activities in prominent places in this area of the city, such as the squares of S. Tiago and Verónica.
Throughout the day, there is ambient music, face painting and cultural entertainment in the neighborhood’s streets.
Due to this event being held on public roads, the streets Fran Paxeco, João Eloy do Amaral and António Maria Eusébio are closed to car traffic on the 25th.
