Located next to Humberto Delgado Airport, TRYP Lisboa Aeroporto has just completed the “Stay Safe With Meliá” certification by Bureau Veritas, one of the most renowned certification bodies worldwide, proving the implementation of demanding hygiene and safety protocols for prevention compared to Covid-19, adopted jointly with Meliá Hotels International.
The TRYP Lisboa Aeroporto certification resulted from a process of adapting its spaces and procedures, to guarantee safe stays, transmitting confidence, well-being and security to its customers and employees.
New elements of physical security have been implemented, new passage circuits to guarantee the recommended physical distance, equipment and hygiene and disinfection products, new concepts of gastronomy, food and drinks, which allow sanitary safety, always maximizing the quality and experience of the client.
This Certification also focuses on training and digitalization in contact with the Customer, prioritizing the dissemination of information through screens and QR codes. Hotel staff have received intensive training programs to ensure their in-depth knowledge of the program, giving priority to the positive experience of guests.
This Certification by Bureau Veritas thus proves the high level of security and correct adaptation of the procedures implemented at TRYP Lisboa Aeroporto, minimizing the risks derived from covid-19.
The certification covers all the procedures of the Hotel’s operation, from the conformity of processes, commitments on the part of the organization, definition of risks, emergency plans and individual protection, materials available and attention to employees, shifts, capacity of hotel units, distance education, training and specific training.
TRYP Lisboa Aeroporto is the second unit of the Hoti Hotéis Group to complete the Certification, after the Meliá Braga Hotel & Spa. The remaining hotels managed in Portugal by Hoti Hotéis, with Meliá Hotels International brands, are at an advanced stage of implementation ( Meliá Ria Aveiro, Meliá Castelo Branco, Meliá Setúbal, Meliá Madeira Mare, TRYP Porto Expo, TRYP Porto Centro, TRYP Leiria, TRYP Lisboa Oriente and TRYP Lisboa Caparica Mar).
The remaining units of the Hoti Hotéis Group in Portugal (Hotel Star inn, Hotel da Música and Madeira Golden Residence brands) are now advancing with the Five Stars certification | Safe Spot, which combines health auditing with consumer experience assessment. This certification is guaranteed by Bureau Veritas methodologies and the Five Star Award.
