The Crato Festival returns for another unmissable edition, with confirmed dates from August 26th to 30th, 2025.
This year’s lineup features big names such as Wet Bed Gang, Plutonio, Mizzy Miles, Matuê, Lon3r Johny and Profjam, JÜRA, Skunk Anansie, GNR, Luís Trigacheiro, and guests Zé Felipe, Fernando Daniel, and Nena.

In addition to the regular days, with paid admission, the festival kicks off with a free day on August 25th, marked by a night of Alentejo celebrations. The already confirmed appearances include Vizinhos, creators of the hit “Pôr do Sol,” Os Raiz, featuring guests Átoa, Los Romeros, Afonso Dubraz, and Kika; the English band Cutting Crew, creators of the hit “(I Just) Died In Your Arms.” Closing the night, the Remember Old Times project, whose pop-rock and dance music promises to get the audience dancing to the songs of the year.
After the main shows, the stage transitions to After Hours, with the party continuing into the night with DJ Dadda, DJ LK from Scotland, DJ Matcho, DJ Ana Isabel Arroja, and Insert Coin.

Joaquim Diogo, director of the Crato Festival, says, “We wanted to surprise everyone who participates in this festival. This extra free day is a gift to the loyal audience that fills Crato with life every year. We’re starting the festival early and on the right foot.”
When asked about the eclectic lineup, Joaquim Diogo states, “…what the Crato Festival does every year is try to be as inclusive as possible and cater to many musical tastes. We have a way of being where we enjoy allowing different generations to experience different musical rhythms and new projects, so that those who visit us are surprised.”

In addition to the international and national artists who will enliven the afternoons and evenings at the Crato Festival venue, a Crafts and Gastronomy Fair will be held, a key component of the event that highlights local culture and traditions. This intersection of music, crafts, and gastronomy extends far beyond the festival itself, as Joaquim Diogo, director of the Crato Festival, explains: “The Crato Festival positions us in terms of our brand, the name of this magnificent city, always leaving a trail for those who come during these days to discover its monuments, its dynamics, and the gastronomy is always a point of attraction.”

About the Crato Festival
It all began in 1984 with the Crato Crafts and Gastronomy Fair to promote local culture, customs, and crafts. Starting in 2004, the Crafts and Gastronomy Fair added internationally recognised names to its lineup, including the Beach Boys (without the Wilson brothers), James, Scorpions, The Animals, and Roger Hodgson (Supertramp).
Under the name “Crato Festival,” gastronomy and crafts continue to be highlights of this unique event on the national scene, which brings thousands of people to the historic Alentejo city annually.
