Ukraine wins their first game at Euro’2020, against Northern Macedonia

In the Group C game of Euro’2020, the first game of the second round between Ukraine and Northern Macedonia was played, which the Ukrainians won by 2-1, shuffling the group’s accounts with three teams with Ukraine, Netherlands and Austria, that still play today.
Ukraine beat Northern Macedonia 2-1 in Bucharest, Romania, a first-half victory thanks to goals from de Yarmolenko in the 29th minute and Yaremchuk in the 35th minute.
In the second half, Macedonia came in to turn the score around and Ezgjan Alioski in the 57th minute managed to reduce, from a penalty, first, he even failed, but in the rebound, he didn’t waste.

At the end of the game, Ukraine would benefit from a penalty, signed using the VAR, however Malinovsky, called to convert, allowed Stole Dimitrievski’s defence, keeping the result until the end.
With this victory Ukraine scored their first three points, which is now equal with the Netherlands and Austria, who play today the game of the second round of the group, Macedonia still without points, will not have much chance of passing the group stage.
