North Festival returns in 2026 with one of the most anticipated editions ever, and a new location at Maia Sports City. The enthusiasm surrounding The Cure’s return to Portugal, as the main attraction on June 7th, is enormous — and tickets for that day are about to sell out.
The iconic British band, led by Robert Smith, promises a historic show, revisiting unmissable songs like “Boys Don’t Cry”, “Just Like Heaven”, “Lullaby” or “Friday I’m In Love”. The show marks one of the most anticipated moments of this edition of North Festival, which reaffirms itself as a transversal, urban and nationally renowned event.
The seventh edition of the festival takes place on June 5th, 6th and 7th, in a new space designed to provide a more comfortable, accessible and immersive experience: the Maia Sports City, just a few minutes’ drive from the center of Porto, the airport, and the main transport links.
With three stages and an eclectic program that brings together major international and national names, the North Festival promises to celebrate, once again, the authenticity and energy of the North.
