A WOW card, a world of benefits

“Why be WOW, when you can be WOOOOW?” This is the motto behind the launch of the WOW Card, which privileges the community that regularly visits the cultural quarter. The first 500 members have special conditions.

WOW, the cultural quarter of Gaia, has just launched the WOW Card. For an annuity, members are entitled to visit all WOW permanent museums, every day of the year, and have a 10% discount for companions. The WOW card can be individual or family and also has a Youth or Over 65s option.

“Fortunately, since our opening in July 2020, we have created our community and there are visitors who use WOW to welcome family and friends who come to Porto. There is the local community that comes back several times, who are our ambassadors. It was time to reward them, to give them special conditions, to invite them to come even more often”, explains Pedro Araújo, general director of WOW.

The launch campaign also plays with the way the name of the cultural quarter is read. “We say ‘wow’, but many of our regular visitors read ‘wow’ and that’s okay because what really matters is that they are impacted and feel the WOW factor”, adds Pedro Araújo.

The WOW Individual Card costs €80 per year but is available for €56 for the first 500 subscribers. The WOW Family Card includes two adults and two children up to the age of 12 and costs 150 euros, which is 105 for the first 500 members. For young people and those over 65, the WOW Card costs 50 euros per year – for the first 500 it costs 35 euros.

The WOW Card entitles you to free entry to The Bridge Collection, The Wine Experience, Planet Cork, The Chocolate Story, Porto Region Across the Ages, and Pink Palace, as well as a 10% discount for friends. It also entitles you to guided tours, as long as they are previously booked, and to priority access if there are queues. Members of the WOW Card also enjoy a 10% discount in museum shops and restaurants in the cultural quarter. For more information, just refer to WOW Card.
