The album is the result of the Setubalense duo’s collaboration with the Filmfest Festival, for which they were invited, in 2022, to create the soundtrack set to live music for the film “The Railroader”, by Buster Keaton.
The desire to create an album of the experience persisted, resulting in an instrumental journey of 16 songs, and stations that follow each other and recount the various adventures experienced in a great dreamlike journey.
The relationship between João M. Mota and Pedro Franco in the area of cinema and theatre is no longer new, with Um Corpo Estranho having already created and edited several works such as “A Velha Ampulheta” and “Homem Delirio” by creator Ricardo Mondim, “O Homem Almofada” (based on the universe of Paula Rego) by Sylvan Peker or, more recently, ”Quis saber quem sou”, the latest short film by director Antonio Aleixo with the theme “O Puto e o Velho”.
The debut single of “O Ferroviário” has the same name and features a video produced by GARAGEM and directed by Pedro Estevão Semedo, with photography direction by Mário Guilherme.
The production of the album was in charge of Sérgio Mendes and the duo themselves, once again under the label of Malafamado Records.
