A weekend of tours and guided tours at the Porto Municipal Gallery

On the first Saturday of each month, the public has the opportunity to get to know the exhibitions at Galeria Municipal do Porto up close, through a guided tour dedicated to each of the projects on display. This is the case on October 2nd, at 4 pm, with the two recently inaugurated exhibitions — “Os novos babilónios: Atravessar a fronteira“, by Pedro G. Romero and, on the mezzanine floor,  “Pandemic / I don’t know Karate but I know Ka-razor!“, an exhibition by Filipe Marques, curated by Isabeli Santiago and Juan Luis Toboso.

On the same day, between 4 pm and 7 pm, the ping! continues its program of contact and direct interaction between the public and the cultural-artistic fabric of the city, this time with a route Exodus, ‘Oriente-Campanhã’ guided by the artist Francisco Babo. The itinerary, which will be done on foot, will pass through three different spaces in the city: the OCUPA Gallery, the A Leste space and Ermo do Caos.

The next day, Sunday at 4 pm, artist Carla Filipe proposes a tour of the Crystal Palace Gardens. With the title “A evolução da Representação da Natureza na cidade“, the route will seek to launch a diary reading about the different natural elements, starting from documentary data from the gardens, crossing history and fiction. This path will be joined by José Teixeira and Marisa Naia, part of the Interdisciplinary Center for Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR).

The exhibition program and activities of the Municipal Gallery of Porto can be found on its website.
