“Uma Página da História”: a biografia oficial dos Da Weasel chega a 27 de Abril
In 2023, the band celebrates 30 years since its formation
Signed by Ana Ventura, on the 27th of April, “Uma Página da História” is published, the official biography of Da Weasel which results from a year of long conversations in which all the band members open the door of Doninha’s burrow to share their stories. their memories and some of the secrets that, until now, have never been revealed.
In the oral register, Carlos Nobre (Pacman/Carlão), João Nobre (Jay-Jay Neige), Bruno Silva (Virgul), Pedro Quaresma (Quakas), Guilherme Silva (Guillaz) and Miguel Negretti (DJ Glue) are the protagonists of this narrative, “human beings, of flesh and blood, with their defects and their qualities. These six characters, however, created such an impactful work that they became legends”, comments Ana Ventura.
From January 2022 to January 2023, each of the elements of the mythical collective sat down individually with the author, who took advantage of the sharing to explore the past of the band and the figures that compose it, but also the present, leaving in these pages a piece of history told in the first person.
With this biography, the songs that everyone carries in their hearts join the reality of the existence of each of the members of Da Weasel and Doninha as a group. “Uma Página da História” transports the reader on a journey through 30 years of stories that marked the life of the band and, deep down, the life of an entire generation.
